  In this task I learnt alot about finding which fraction was better to use.The hardest was probably the second which is the one my partner Adriel did.

My trip to the Auckland Art Gallery

My trip to the art gallery.

Last week on Friday  my class and I travelled to the Auckland Art Gallery. It was an amazing experience through the art world.Class 10 went because our topic for term four is art attack and we hadn't been on a trip for a while.

My groups first session was the self guided session. It was Amazing because we got to be the first to touch the Lego and to create with it we built towers and thing-a-ma-jigs . I noticed that when I last went to the Art gallery there was a giant flower on the roof and now it’s gone apparently they change the sculptures every six months.

The second session were the gallery tours led by Charlotte. she took us into a room called the Victorian era room. Charlotte asked us to close our eyes  and she told us a story , after the story we had to find the painted art that matched the story.

Our last session was in the art studio. My group had to cut out jars and we named them story jars. In our story jars we shared a recount using drawings. My recount was about going to Ironmaori it is a Maori triathlon.

This was an amazing experience through the art world. Next time I go I will be so much more excited for it than I was this time. Maybe if you go to the city you could visit it some time.

No more melanoma!

Do you know how to slip slop slap and wrap? it is important to stay sunsmart because if you stay in the sun for too long without any protection , you could get burnt and that could lead to cancer.

Do you know what melanoma is?I do it is a type of cancer that is indeed deadly.All of this comes from being sunburned . From september to april at about 10am to 4pm this is when UV radiations are at its strongest. A way to stay sunsmart is to be protected at all times with either sun screen or hats and wear protective clothing.

In extension this week we were given a task to group up and make each other a symbol that represents well each other.My partner and I told each other what our symbols should show and this is what my partner came up with.By the way my partners name was Venetia and she is the artist responsible for this amazing but made up symbol and that is now my representation

Be more electric

This is my elections board  .Mrs Tele'a gave us the task to make up a party to put on a billboard made on Hyper studio , this is what I ended up with I love it do you?. Anyway the party I made up is called electronic.I don't know why but that works , because the meaning is so more people can afford to buy these amazing devices we use.Today I wanted to be creative about what to call my party then the electronic party came straight to my because also what comes with it is more oppurtunities  for more schools to have chrome books like how my school has a lot if them all around it so that is all about my party(:

Use my brain use my heart I'm going to be cyber smart . Have you ever heard those words put together that is my school phrase .Korero are very common at my school actually we have a different one every term.

Use my brain online

The reason that you need to keep safe online is to know what you are doing because your teacher may also be watching you. For example you never know how people are watching you. Watch out for viruses online can get very inappropriate for younger children .

Use my heart

Using my heart means controlling my emotions and using my brain.For example my friend sends me a mean or doggy email instead of  me writing back my heart will control my brain and stop  me from not using my emotions the wrong way.

Cyber smart

Being cyber smart means to be computer appropriate online at all times.For example a friend is on a doggy site and wants  you to go on it will you go on it or be mature and stay on the right site??

My Storyline Reflection

Last week I went to the Storyline Festival.

 It was an amazing experience to see New Zealand authors. They all had very interesting stories of how they explain what they have through their lives . Each of them write about it.I had an awesome time at the Storyline Festival. The authors that I got to see were Juliette Mclver,Paula Green,Catherine Mayo and Jill McGregor. All of these wonderful women are very great authors that come from New Zealand.My two favourite writers would have to be Catherine Mayo and Jill McGregor because they both very enthusiastic voices will just speaking to us and they had and extreme amount of information witch I thought was pretty cool . And that is my reflection about the Storyline Festival.
