GEGNZ Student Summit
Today I was gifted the privilege of attending this years GEGNZ (Google for Education group) Student Summit and Ormistan Junior College. The group that attended was the year 7&8 Extension group along with Mrs Langitupu. Starting the day we had a huge welcome from Ormistan Junior college and primary.
We were split in two groups as we were presenting two different workshops. My group did a scratch workshop teaching others how to create a game using coding. The other group showed and presented how we use a school network to get notices around, that is called PENN (Pt England News Network.)
There were over 400 different students from schools around Auckland and even some from down south. We had a range of different workshops like Telligami, Robotics and loads more. I even got to see my old teacher Miss Lavakula. We met her classroom and took heaps of photos.
Four students from Pt England school won prizes they were Mitchell, Simon Ana and Yvonne.
The prize range was huge! Chrome cast to smart globes. I hope to go to this event again next time.

Usain Bolt
In this task i found info, facts and things about a specific athlete. The athlete I chose was usain bolt.
My favourite thing i found out about him was that in 2009 he adopted a cheetah and named him Lightning bolt. The reason Usain adopted a cheetah was because he is the fastest man alive and so is the cheetah but in animals.

Time To snore
Walt: We are learning about auxiliary verbs and using them in sentences.
In this task we wrote sentences using auxiliary verbs. I learnt to find different auxiliary verbs from outside the box. This was a different way to use verbs. I also found out that auxiliary verbs are helping verbs.

Bean bags for hire 3pt whole day
Walt: pursued the reader to agree with our message
Bean bags are one of the most angelic and serene places to sit on.
The bean bags are filled with soft cotton beans and covered in a silky rubber skin. They can be shape shifted into the mould of your choice like play dough. You can choose to sit on the bean bag, use it to lean back on , lie on it or sneak a bit of a sleep plus much more.
The bean bags come in two different colours , sapphire Blue, and sea-foam green. It’s your choice of which one you want to rest on.
The output is 3pt how good is that. Your payment can be deposited at the beginning of the day and then you can use the beanbag for the rest of the day in all it will be 3pt for 4 and a half hours!
Remember for 3pt you can sit on a beanbag during class for at least four and a half hours.

Chicken flavoured worms!?
WALT: write a detailed introduction with hook and orientation.
Has your teacher ever fed you warm , squirmy and fat worms?
This morning I thought my teacher was a bit hypo from drinking too much coffee because he was chatting about chicken flavoured worms. This is what happened.
This morning was normal and then we had the craziest ride ever! My paragraph is about yesterday when Mr Goodwin started asking us if we had a teacher that has fed us chicken flavoured worm and well the whole class thought "he is so crazy"
