Idea's for a fun weekend

Walt: use the title, introduction, information and conclusion structure.

What would be your idea of a fun weekend? In Auckland, New Zealand  there are tons of things to do.  Lakes, rivers, waterfalls and beaches to parks and you could even have sleepovers!

One Idea is that the first thing to do would be to have a big breakfast.  Pancakes, bacon, eggs, toast, baked beans anything!  Then I would have a shower and get ready to go out.   Ideally when you would think of things to do in Auckland would be Rainbows End right?   Well if I went I would try to go on every single ride(including the ones i’m afraid of).   Furthermore my top 3 favourite rides are: The log flume, The gold rush and The Roller Coaster.   I would also take a good lunch for throughout the whole day.

Another idea would be to have a sleepover.  You can build fort’s, watch movies, play games and even just eat.  Usually when you host a sleepover you provide a place to sleep, dinner and snacks.   At night one of my favourite games to play are spotlight and it’s always good to wear black clothes so it’s harder to be spotted.

Moreover, my last idea would be to spend some quality time with your family.

Play some sports in the backyard like rippa rugby, touch or even basketball if you have a hoop.   You could also do a TV program series marathon which is when you watch all episodes of as many series as there are.  

So I hope you appreciated these idea’s for a fun weekend. My Favourite one in particular would be to go to Rainbow’s end.  I love all the rides. What would you do for a fun weekend?

My Movie Review - Hidden Figures ~ 2017

On Wednesday the 8th of March Pt England school's year 7&8 Extension group had to opportunity to go and watch the movie 'Hidden Figures'.  It is based on a true story about three African - American women who worked at NASA, they were part of a group who were behind some of the greatest achievements.  This movie was incredible and it helped me to realise racism and how much of an impact it would be to be racist and how uncool it is.  By the way we also got to take as much lollies, chips and junk food and fizzy drinks. This was an amazing experience to have gone and watched this movie for free! He is a short film with a few photo's and clips of us.

My favourite past time

Walt: explain what our favourite past time

What is your favourite pastime?  when you have finished your chores and homework but have nothing left to do, all this spare time and you think “hmm what can  do now?”   Well I have a favourite past time
that I love doing.

Mine is watching Netflix and eating food.  My favourite type of movies are comedies because I always enjoy a little laugh.  One of my favourite movies on Netflix is ‘She's the Man’   It’s hilarious and enthusiastic. It also is a good story with good recommendations.

Usually I watch a movie and eat some food then by the end I will have fallen asleep.  I sleep for a few hours, wake up and then do the same thing over again.  I will do this on weekends and sometimes weekdays.

This is my favourite past time. I go onto Netflix almost every single day now and have watched nearly every movie listed in comedy and family.

2016 Reflection of the year

This year has been one of the very best. Particularly this year was my favourite at Pt England School ever! The sports I have participated in this year are: Basketball, Netball, Soccer, Cricket and Touch. I really enjoyed all of these sports teams as everyone was friendly.

The things I participated in this year was: Sports teams, Kapa haka, Extension, The Winter Learning Journey, Apprentice Of The Year Supporting Team, Sports Tournaments, Youthtown, Tech, Al7, Nesian Fusion, Fiafia, Mihimihi, Karakia Whakamutunga, Cross Country, Athletics, School picnic and the School Olympics.

I have really enjoyed this year as I have had nameless amounts of opportunities and chances that I tried my best to take. I’d like to thank all the teachers in team 5 at Pt England. They helped me get all the prizes I could have ever imagined.

Prizegiving Reflection 2K16

This is my prize giving reflection of 2016

On Thursday the 8th of December Pt England School had the school Prize giving. At five o'clock the senior Kapa haka group Manaia Ki Te Rangi met in the Whare Whono. We all got dressed up then it all happened…

At precisely 7:00 pm we travelled from the library to the stage at it had finally started. Prize giving 2016 was the best I have had so far personally especially when you get 3 certificates and three trophy's. The time came when the Year 7’s did their item and it got alot of cheers plus it was extremely fun.

During the end tears ran down my face as the year 8s were finishing off their item. Lastly we sang the school song ‘Strive To Succeed’ and it was a blast!

I can’t wait for next year because my hopes are that it will be even better.

School Picnic 2K16

This is my school picnic writing about last Friday.

Last Friday we had our annual school picnic on a hot summer day. With chocolate brownies, hot chips, Cheesecake and fizzy drinks it proves Room 3 was The best fed class by far. Finally we had a sunny day worthy enough for us to go.

From the start a group of us went to a picnic and we started to take videos and photo’s of us. It was an awesome day filled with fun and excitement. Later on I got buried neck deep in sand then I washed the sand off as I went for a refreshing swim with my friends.I can’t wait till next year for our school picnic because it will be even better.

Algebra 2.0

In this task I leanrt to do algebra with addition multiplication and division. At first it was a struggle but eventually it was really easy. My favourite slide was the last one when I found out what Y equalled.

Fractions and decimals

Walt: use fractions and decimals in every day life.


In this task I learnt to add fraction and decimals. I think that it was easy to add the fractions because they had the same denominator. I prefer to add decimals because it was easier.

I enjoyed writing by myself because it was fun to be creative.

My compare and contrast

This is my Compare and Contrast between me and my mother. I had to interview my mum about what it was like at her school. When she was at school she really wasn't as lucky as I am right now.

Favourite part

This term my favourite part was last week having our little egg friends.

Walt: think about my purpose and reader by planning my recount

I used to like egg races until yesterday. Yesterday we had and egg and spoon race.

Races themselves are difficult but yesterday was the top of the top. Check this out.

Egg races are hard because, you really have to concentrate while doing it. You

will probably get the feeling the spoon is heavy because you are moving alot.

We were in buddies and we each got one egg per group. My buddy Lani drew a face on our egg. While my buddy was coming with the egg I felt extremely nervous. I was waiting at the other side of the park and I thought what if I crack it or drop it. But that wasn't the worst part.

My buddy Lani had given me the egg. While I walked through the park I was scared but I sort of succeeded. I was happy but when I was one foot away from the finish line  my egg fell onto the ground. Luckily my egg never broke or cracked.

I think that next time I will go a bit slower so I can gain control over my egg. To be honest I don’t know if I will ever do that again. If I do it again I will probably think about what I'm going to do before I do it.

In this task I learnt to white a whole recount in 45 minutes. I found it a bit difficult at the start but I found it a bit easier during the end.

This is my elections board  .Mrs Tele'a gave us the task to make up a party to put on a billboard made on Hyper studio , this is what I ended up with I love it do you?. Anyway the party I made up is called electronic.I don't know why but that works , because the meaning is so more people can afford to buy these amazing devices we use.Today I wanted to be creative about what to call my party then the electronic party came straight to my because also what comes with it is more oppurtunities  for more schools to have chrome books like how my school has a lot if them all around it so that is all about my party(:
