40 hour famine

This week the extension group had the task to make post about the 40 hour famine but we only did 20 hours because we are children.

Weather report

Winter is the most cold season . Students at Pt England school have been frozen for the last week they say “ We need a day off “ Here are tips on how to get to school on a really rainy day.

Winter is almost here and  in Auckland we have quite heavy rain, and some hailing has been happening too. This is not the best weather here in Auckland.

that is also under name of Rosalina thinks that “ school should not be closed because  how are you supposed to learn at home”.

It is important to come to school because you would have to learn , and you could bring a change of clothes

or wear an extra raincoat for the rain. Venetia quotes that “ we need to learn ! “ and that we need to come to school and this will help us learn and learning will help us get a good degree the only reason you go don’t to school is if you are sick or if you go on a holiday.

Today our task was to write a report about the rainy weather coming to Auckland in new Zealand.

Teacher from Pt England School ( Mr Wiseman ) has newborn baby girl under that name of ailah spelling of name may very. Stunning news that last week school teacher known as Mr Wiseman receives notice that wife has had newborn baby girl. Now he remains at house spending time with his now grown family.

On Thursday the 30th of April  in Auckland,  at pt England school , in Room 6 literacy class the children watched teacher ( Mr Goodwin ) make a remote using both a makey makey kit and fruit. Mr Goodwin introduces class to new technology. By using fruit he manages to make a remote control out of fruit to control a games of tetris. All related to term topic called : tinkering tools and toys.

I like this game because you have to get as much as you can and even when you play around you don't loose. I recommend this games for maths lovers.

Fun: 8.5/10

I liked this game because it was a bit difficult but not as difficult for me. but I like the end of the levels. I would recomend this game if you like difficult games.

Anzac assembly

WALT:  remember  the anzac.

Today in assembly Pt England school celebrated the 100th year since world war 1. At the end of our assembly my whole school went outside to see our square of remembrance.We had 5 minutes of silence to remember those who fought for us in world war 1.

Our task today was to write one paragraph about this morning in our anzac assembly.

First day back to school

Immersion assembly

WALT: use different types of sentences to improve writing.

Have you ever seen your teacher in a video game? Mr Somerville was not only in the video game he also went onto a hovercraft on the hall stage. check this out.

First things first My class and I sat down in the assembly hall. I saw that instead of giving out stickers our principal Mr Burt was giving s’mores and mini pikelets. Plus a helicopter drone was in the air being controlled by a mobile phone. Isa was controlling the drone.

Now it was time for team 1 and their topic was about eating healthy food and having a healthy body. Mrs George and the rest of team 1 teachers  had pre made sandwiches also with sliced celery and carrots.

After teams 2&3 team 4 was next and for team 4 we had a  movie about a rainy day and a kid went onto his computer and played a video game then my teacher appeared in it. After that was team 5 and at the Mr Barks showed us his home-made hovercraft and it had a minion on it .

I can’t wait to see what we get  up to this term!  Now it’s time to tinker with tools and toys! has this ever happened to you before?

Have you Been to a school camp?

WALT: Organize my ideas into paragraphs and link them together.

Have you ever slept in tent city? Well I have and it  was fun. One of my Room mates were one of my leaders which was funny her name is rosalina. This is what went down.

The year 5 and 6 camp has been going for 25 years now and it is getting more exciting every year. At this camp you get to sleep in a tent with either one or two other people and they will be your room mates in this case mine were rosalina and patricia.

My favourite highlight was kayaking. Mrs garden explained all the rules to my group. We then got to choose a life jacket that we could fit. I went into a single kayak and then a double and found out that going on a single kayak makes you go faster.

Another highlight about camp was going to the mangere pools.My favourite part about it was that in the last 30 minutes we all got to go into the bombing. The deep pool was fun I remembered it from last year it was extremely deep but this year it wasn't so bad.

This years camp was awesome I loved it even more than I did last year. I really enjoyed my camp. Have you ever gone to a school camp?

I learnt that camp is more fun than it sounds. Mr Goodwin gave us the task to write a recount about the year five and six camp.
